Banda Sea Islands

BANDA SEA

The Banda Sea stretches from Sulawesi in the west to Tual and on to Papua New Guinea) in the East. Itineraries might include moving East from Sualawesi and on to the Savu Sea or Komodo National Park. Charters into the middle of the Banda sea will take you to the remote Banda Islands. These islands were much fought over during the spice trade and until the 19th century were the only source of nutmeg and mace. The colonial influence is apparent nowadays charming Dutch colonial houses and crumbling forts.

These islands offer adventure, deserted beaches and great diving amidst the striking volcanic islands and a true sense of isolation from modern Western life.
